Actor Hannah Williams has enjoyed working on stage and the indie screen but was looking to take on more storytelling ambition by initiating a short film in which she would play a leading role.​ A versatile actor who can handle comedy and drama alike, after meeting with John and Jason, a compelling idea for a campaign video inspired the direction for her project.​​
Upon Hannah's approval of the script, she offered ideas for actors to fill the roles in conjunction with Make Your Show's casting roster.

Casting sessions took place in New York City and film production was scheduled.​​​
Shot on location in Fairfield and Southport, CT, "The Bestie" had its world premiere at the inaugural Make Your Show Film Festival at Lincoln Center in June, 2025.
