Make Your Short is a 6-part workshop that empowers actors who want to make their own work. Covering everything from finding viable and producible story ideas, creating a screenplay, pre-production, production, post-production and marketing, Make Your Short is designed to get actors acclimated to becoming on-camera storytellers in the easiest and most accessible way - by using a smart phone.
Filmmakers Jason Cicci and John Cramer will guide you through the entire filmmaking process, answering your questions
and transforming your professional career.
The Basics
📅 Starts: Tuesday, May 13th 11am-1pm
📍 Location: Zoom
🕒 Schedule: Meets once a week for 6 weeks (not necessarily consecutive)

What You’ll Do
- Write a short script (3-5 pages)
- Learn how to shoot using your smart phone
- Plan, direct, and film your own 5-minute short
- Edit your project in DaVinci Resolve
- Learn how to market your film for festivals or online release

- The Blackmagic Camera app (Apple Store/Google Play)
- A computer for editing (Mac or PC)
- Davinci Resolve (Blackmagic Design Website)
- A story you’re excited to tell
- OPTIONAL GEAR - Tripod, microphone, light, external storage, etc.
